If you are only looking to lose a few pounds then weight loss tablets aren't the answer. Instead you need to be looking carefully at what you eat over the course of a week, how much alcohol and sugary drinks you consume and what your exercise habits are. These 3 areas are essential to a healthier way of living, and to losing those pounds that you want to disappear. Find out how much you should weigh, and if you feel that you need the motivation of having to weigh in at a class each week, and follow a specific plan, then find a local program where you have no problem attending. The program you follow must be one that you can do without feeling that you're being deprived of things you love - if the first one you go to seems to be that way, then try another. None of these programs should offer you weight loss tablets, instead they will offer you a healthy way of losing those pounds. On the other hand if you fall within the obese range of weight, you need to talk to a doctor before starting any healthy eating plan. They will run some tests on you to see if there's any medical reason for the weight, and if not, they will advise you on the best course of action for getting started with your weight loss. The doctor at this stage may offer you some medication. These may not actually be weight loss tablets, but rather they will do something like reduce your appetite, or stop water retention, so that you get a good start on the program. These pills may work for a while, but not without your help, and should be stopped as soon as possible. Before taking them, you need to find out if there are any side effects such as heartburn, headaches etc - and if so, you may find that it's much better to ignore the pills because they can make you feel much worse than you do not, and just get excited about the weight loss program and commit to losing those pounds without any magic pills. At the end of the day, there are no wonder weight loss tablets. The onus is on you to get those pounds off, and with the right kind of support team, a healthy eating program that you can easily follow, and an exercise regime that increases in intensity as your weight lowers, those excess pounds will disappear. |
